Hello!
Thank you for taking a few minutes to get to know a little more about me. My name is Jim Appel, and God has done incredible things to change my life. I was raised in a religious home but there was never any apparent influence from God. I then decided that I was god and spent years trying to please myself. My children began attending a Bible-preaching church, and during a very trying phase of life I realized that I was not in control of my life. Being addicted to drugs and alcohol and not able to free myself, I began attending church with my boys. On April 5th of 1990, realizing that I was a sinner (Romans 3:23) and that my sin demanded a payment to appease a holy God (Romans 6:23), I repented of my sin and turned to Christ. Since then, God has given me new desires to please Him be a help to local churches. I have spent the last 9 years serving in the operations/facilities department at Camp Joy in Whitewater, Wisconsin. As well, I have been involved with at least 8 different local Baptist Churches by helping with different remodeling projects. I especially enjoy working with ceramic and other tile products.
